Transformer contact switch in point heating system

Point heating is used in rail transportation. This ranges from freight transport to streetcars and ICE trains.
The points are heated so that they can continue to be set at sub-zero temperatures, thus freeing them from snow and ice. The transformer starter switch makes it quick and easy to switch on the heating.
