Corporate customers order from FSM AG, private customers order from Tauscher in Freyung. EMEKO-Ing. Büro advises on the selection of the various types in special cases.

Transformer switching relay, TSR, is the generic term. There are 3 different TSR types, TSRL, TSRLF, TSRDF and numerous variants of each type, which differ in their special number.

The special number consists of the last two XX digits in the order number. (TSRL 221013XX.) These special numbers are not shown in the data sheet but only in the special version list. These lists can be found under the headings: Switch on single-phase transformers with TSR or Switch on three-phase transformers with TSR, each under the chapter: Data sheets.

The TSRL or TSRLF can be used for single-phase transformers.

For three-phase transformers, also known as three-phase transformers, which consist of the interconnection of 3 single-phase transformers, referred to here as so-called non-genuine three-phase transformers, 2 TSRLs up to 32A are also suitable. See the application examples there.  For higher outputs, 2 TSRLF control modules are suitable, which control 2 momentary switching solid state relays, with or without bypass contactor bridging.

TSRLs are best suited for infrequent switching, while TSRLFs are best suited for frequent switching, such as heating via a transformer.

For real three-phase transformers, those with the coils on a common three-legged core, two TSRLs can also be used up to a size of 10 kVA. TSRDFs are suitable for larger genuine three-phase transformers.

The inductive premagnetizing principle developed by Emeko is used for switching large transformers >100 kVA, even in the medium voltage range.

See also three-phase transformers, switching on large transformers via premagnetization. Various transformer manufacturers such as Riedel, Trafo-Schneider-March, Tauscher, supply the premagnetizing devices or the complete soft switch-on.
