Transformer starter switch for energy-saving transformers

Transformer switches are used to make a transformer energy-saving. By preventing the high inrush current, electricity is saved. In addition, the transformer starter switch makes it possible to operate the transformer with lower losses.

This is normally impossible: a 1kVA toroidal transformer can be protected to nominal current with a B-automatic circuit breaker. This is only possible if the inrush current is avoided with a TSRL.
